I set out in hopes of catching the stars at the famous Cherry Springs State Park.
Instead, the night was filled with clouds with a glimpse of the stars for about a five minutes.
All I captured were black frames with little detail of the stars.
This is what I was trying to achieve : Google Search “cherry springs star gazing”
Despite a huge disappointment, I highly recommend this area to anyone trying to get away –
go camping, stay at a nice bed and breakfast, enjoy nature and a little bit of a slower paced lifestyle for a weekend.
I went during Mid-July when there was no moon.
A few details about this trip and the locations of the images:
Cherry Springs State Park : Well known for its Star Gazing
Frosty Hollow Bed and Breakfast : I could see this as a potential wedding venue. Loved it. Will go back.
Pine Creek Gorge / Leonard Harrison State Park / Tioga State Forest / Turkey Path Trail : All in the same location and the hike doesn’t take too long.
I’ll be back for the stars… let me know if you want to join next time 🙂
