The day after an engagement session, I woke up bright and early to catch the sunrise over the Atlantic.
There were some images that I had in mind that I knew could only be produced during that time.
This trip was in late August and it was a bit humid.
Beat the last rush of Labor Day beach goers – no traffic = happy life.
The drive back blasting some XM radio EDM music was a nice touch too.
A few details about this trip and the locations of the images:
Emerald Isle : Bogue Inlet Fishing Pier – small town, early morning fishing and surfing. I was surprised how many people were out.
Shackleford Banks : Wild Banker Horses in the middle of nowhere. An interesting read / visit.
Lighthouses (in this order) : Cape Lookout Lighthouse, Ocracoke Lighthouse, Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, Bodie Island Lighthouse.
I did not have enough time / the sun set before I could make it to Currituck Beach Lighthouse. Maybe next time?
Each has their own story and reason for their patterns – it’s nice opportunity to stop, stretch, and enjoy good history.
Enjoy the photos!
