I wrote this on my plane ride back home and saved it.
It’s been sitting in my ‘Notes’ app for just about 7-8 months.
It wasn’t fully finished (I’m sure I slept the whole plane ride).
I will keep it that way – nothing better than ‘in the moment’ thoughts 😛
I’ve been excited about this trip ever since I received Betty’s email about doing their wedding in Kauai; private, small, and a chance to spend time together.
Undoubtedly, it was going to be majestic – I just didn’t know to what extent.
This was my first trip to this island and I heard so much about it.
I’ve been proven wrong many times and my lesson here for you all today is:
Embrace the land, culture, and spirit.
I know… it’s a very broad and general idea.
These words are tossed around in every travel blog – but for someone who is type A and has to have everything planned, this wedding was refreshing.
We had a few locations in mind and we looked at each one upon arrival.
In the end, you cannot go wrong with any of the locations.
And yes, Betty, you picked the perfect spot 🙂
Thank you for the best – I mean – THE BEST – experience.
I wouldn’t take any moment back and I am ready to go back with you two 😉
I’m still in shock what just happened.
PS: Sorry for your Caps Mike – maybe next year?
I wrote a portion of my thanks on my Instagram
Somehow – through a miracle, one of the photos showcased here was chosen among 4,500 images to be part of the Junebugs 50 Best of Destination Wedding Photos.
