Lindsey and Mike decided to do their elopement in Delaplane, Virginia at a nearby Airbnb and wanted to take photos at Sky Meadows State Park where there are epic views and beautiful landscapes. It is in the heart of wine country in Northern Virginia.

They were initially inspired by another backyard elopement I had done a year earlier with their dog.

The children’s book was a nice touch – I definitely feel like that is the best way to live and view life <3

The most memorable quote from the book was:

‘You know how to be silly
That’s why I like you
Boy are you ever silly’

And the more and more couples I work with, I think this is a key aspect to marriage. Everything takes communication, understanding, and teamwork. The glue that provides joy within the relationship is being silly – this will help you get through the tough times together.
